The Bourbon Co. Revival
A New Chapter for Divine Spirits, Rooted in Kentucky’s Past
In late 2024, Divine Spirits closed on a piece of Kentucky history: the former Woodford Spears & Son feed and supply warehouse in Paris, KY—a property that has stood for generations and now marks the beginning of our next era.
Spread across nearly 3 acres and home to 6 historic buildings, this site will soon become the new heart of Divine Spirits Distillery. It’s more than an expansion—it’s a return to something essential. To craftsmanship. To tradition. To Bourbon County, where it all began.
Why This Expansion Matters
As our clients grow and their ambitions get bigger, we’re growing with them. This new facility gives us the room and capability to offer:
-
Expanded blending, production, and storage capacity
-
Contract distilling for entrepreneurs and established brands
-
Small batch runs for spirits beyond bourbon—think gin, vodka, absinthe, and rum
-
Upgraded licensing to broaden what we can create together
We’re not just bottling ideas anymore—we’re distilling them.
Reviving a Legacy
Our new home sits in the heart of Bourbon County, a name known worldwide—but a region that hasn’t fully reclaimed its role in Kentucky’s spirits scene… yet.
In 1919, Bourbon County was home to 26 registered distilleries. After Prohibition and decades of dormancy, bourbon production here didn’t return until 2014. Today, only Hartfield & Co. calls the county home—until now.
We see this not only as a renovation project, but a revival. The Divine Spirits facility will help extend the Bourbon Trail eastward, breathing life back into a region that helped define the industry. And we’re doing it with deep respect for the land, the legacy of figures like Jacob Spears, and the community that has supported this history.
More Than a Distillery
This isn’t just an operational move. It’s a promise—to keep the spirit of craft alive, to make room for bold new ideas, and to build a space where the past and future can share a drink.
As we restore and reimagine this property, we’re committed to honoring its agricultural roots while creating something truly modern—a home for both history and innovation.
Be Part of the Revival
We’ll be sharing updates as the build progresses, and soon, we’ll be offering more ways to partner with us—whether you’re looking to launch a new brand, craft a limited run, or distill something that’s never been done before.
